Yes that’s a window, yes it’s dark out, yes I was there at 5 am. Also that’s a bandsaw if you weren’t sure.

I use one to cut dowels for my wedding cakes

  6. I thought that was a standing bandsaw like at the butcher…and then my brain started to notice the man-sized spoons.

HAHAHA i had the same reaction once. It’s used for cutting frozen breads. Do you work at a country club?

Big production bakeries are nuts. I did some temp work last year in Vegas, they would use one of those for cutting these perfect squares of some sort of hard candied brittle thing (not a baker). They also had a full sized multi-level tool box like you would see in an auto shop. Used a drill to core out some chocolate balls so they could be used as part of a display. They had a full on painting booth for spray painting chocolate with edible gold and silver. A 3D printer for complex chocolate designs. A commercial sprayer that looked like it belonged in an auto body shop, but was just for glazing batches of pastries. Bakers are nuts.

I know you already revealed your use but I worked for someone who had a room that was like a mini wood shop. I had to use a machine like this to cut wooden cake dowels.
